Being a wedding photographer in Canada, sometimes we have to deliver our best in the some of the harshest weather. Emilie and Mike’s wedding was no exception. The ceremony took place in Blackstock, east of Port Perry.
The reception was at the Newcastle Community Centre. I believe it was the one the coldest days of the winter, but the bride, groom and wedding party were amazing despite the conditions. As we walked on main street in Newcastle, we were able to find a small Irish tavern to keep us warm between outside jaunts for photos.
After fighting the biting winds to get some wonderful captures, we were finally able to warm up back at Newcastle Community Centre for the reception. That night I would hear some of the most heart felt and beautifully honest wedding speeches this photographer has ever heard. There were a lot of warm beautiful candelabras and string lights to make it a very magical reception. Emilie and Mike were a wedding photographers dream to work with and I wish them the very best.
