As a Toronto wedding photographer, you see many different sizes and styles of weddings. Samantha and Andrew’s wedding day would be the first to have such a close, intimate, family feel, then any that I have seen in the years that I have photographed weddings.
It started out in the heart of downtown Toronto at the Trinity Church. The lighting there was as beautiful as the Church itself and helped create the amazing image of Samantha walking down the aisle with her father. After the service, we headed out into the courtyard for family photos and portraits, which went off without a hitch thanks to the overcast sky. I love a nice sunny day as much as the next person, but during the bride and grooms portrait time, sometimes an overcast sky can just make things a bit easier.
Then off to the reception at the Old Mill. Here the couple had a dining room style of reception, where everyone all sat at the same table and conversed about the day over drinks and great food. I only had a short while to get to know Samantha and Andrew, but I know these are two special people. They are passionate about each other and their families and I know they will build a wonderful family of their own in the future.
